The SCF HPE Invitational Training League is designed for two main groups of chess players:
(A) Junior Players (U20, born in 1993 or after) with FIDE rating above 1600 (standard chess)

(B) Adult Players (Age 20+, born in 1992 or before) with FIDE rating above 1500 (standard chess)
Includes amateurs, recreational players eager for the occasional serious games, and also trainers in Singapore.

The SCF HPE Training League shall be conducted on a quarterly basis.
Based on a 9 week tournament in Term 1/2015, adult players should commit to play in AT LEAST SIX games. They shall be reimbursed when player/paired against juniors (approx 60-40) on the following basis:
1501 to 1800: S$ 50 per game
1801 to 2000: S$ 70 per game
2001 to 2200: S$ 90 per game
Above 2200: S$ 120 per game
Players will play within their groups and/or against players from another group. Full groupings will be announced after final entries are in.
The SCF HPE Invitational Training League Tournament will run on Saturday evenings (2 hours per player, without increment). No prizes will be awarded.
The SCF HPE reserves the right to accept/reject applications without assigning any reason.
Deadline for Player's Applications:
Before 6 pm on Friday, 19 Dec 2014.
HPE Training League qualified/approved NJS (U20) players shall have corresponding weekly 2-hr Theory group sessions on their preferred day – Thursdays or Sundays. NJS compulsory homework: own post-game annotations. shall be analyzed and marked for excellence by the SCF Trainer in charge. Theory groups (not exceeding 12 NJS members per group) will be formed based on players' ratings.
Theory dates (NJS):
Sundays, 4 pm to 6 pm shall start 04 Jan 2015 onwards and
Thursdays, 6 pm to 8 pm shall start 08 Jan 2015 onwards.
