The Labour Day Chess Open 2016 has reached its maximum number of entries. Further entries will no longer be accepted.
Organiser: The Tournament is organised by the Singapore Chess Federation, played under the FIDE Laws of Chess, and the following rules. FIDE Rated Event.
Eligibility: OPEN – Open to all
Format: Swiss System, 6 Rounds, 90 minutes with 30 seconds increment from first move.
Venue: SCF, 51 Bishan Street 13, #02-01A SIGC (Bishan CC), Singapore 579799
Prizes: Trophies for Top 15.
Cash Prizes – 1st - $300 ; 2nd - $200 ; 3rd - $100 ; 4th to 7th - $50

Closing Date:
Friday, 22 Apr 2016 by 6 pm, or first 50 entries.
Late entries WILL NOT be accepted.
Entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fees are non-refundable.
NO REFUND shall be given for withdrawal of entries.
Ranking & Tie-Break: The final ranking is determined by the number of points scored.
In the case of a tie, the following order of tie-breaks shall be used:
(1) Direct Encounter
(2) Buchholz Cut 1
(3) Buchholz
(4) Greater number of wins with black pieces
(5) Greater number of wins
Additional Regulations:
In the event of any disputes (outside the FIDE Laws of Chess), the Organisers decision shall be final and no further correspondence shall be entertained.
Players are assumed to have read the Tournament Rules and are obliged to obey them.
Competitors are expected to maintain acceptable standards of dress and behaviour.
No analysis of games and/or friendly matches in the tournament area.
