Job Openings: National Coach & Technical Director

The SCF is currently seeking a National Coach, and Technical Director with details as follows: 

1. National Coach

Job Description:

  • To provide overall training of SCF National Squads
  • To be accompanying coach for overseas tournament, where necessary
  • To undertake certain administrative functions
  • Any other duties assigned by the management of SCF

Requirements:

  • Accredited FIDE Senior Trainer Title (FST) and/or Grandmaster (GM) title with current minimum rating of 2450
  • Good written and verbal communication & presentation skills
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Good track record in leading a strong and cohesive team
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

2. Technical Director

Job Description:

  • To oversee that SCF competitions are in accordance to general guidelines of FIDE
  • To plan regular training seminars for technical officials
  • To recommend technical officials for SCF competitions

Requirements:

  • Holds title of International Arbiter (IA), preferably also International Organizer (IO), and/or FIDE trainer accreditation
  • Good written and verbal communication & presentation skills
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Good track record in leading a strong and cohesive team
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

 

Both positions are on a two-year renewal contract basis. Applicants must be able to work on weekends.
