SCF congratulates GM Tin Jingyao for his astounding run at the El Llobregat Open Chess Tournament 2022.
Jingyao came in first runner up in an extremely strong field and his result is arguably the best performance by a Singaporean chess player in Singapore Chess history.
He narrowly lost out on the title in a blitz play off, and gained 24 elo, reaching his peak rating of 2586.
Also, a big shout out to CM Jayden Wong who gained 44 elo points in his first tournament abroad. This valuable exposure will surely push him to the next level as he gains more tournament experience.
Both players will hope to continue their momentum at the Chessable Sunway Sitges Chess Festival and we wish them all the best!
