The Asia-Oceania University Chess Championship 2022 was held on Tornelo.com from 17 – 23 December 2022. Through collaboration between the Singapore Chess Federation, the Singapore University Sports Council and the various universities, Singapore assembled the following team for the event:

Women’s Category (18 – 20 Dec 2022):

– Natanya Ng (Trinity College Dublin)

Open Category (21 – 23 Dec 2022):

– Jerome Chan (National University of Singapore)
– Vincent Wesley (Singapore Management University)
– Yogesh Shelgaonkar (Singapore University of Technology and Design)
– Adrian Yeo (Nanyang Technological University)

After several days of intense battles against the region’s best university chess players, we are proud to announce that our Open team secured 4th place out of 10 teams, finishing only behind chess powerhouses China, Iran and Indonesia. Congratulations!

Great job as well to Natanya Ng for her respectable performance in the Women’s category, and well done to all the players for fighting hard!
