KCFAP – ASEAN Rapid Chess Tour
(Singapore–Jakarta–Bangkok) 2023
- Organizer: Organized & Sponsored by Kasparov Chess Foundation Asia Pacific. The Singapore Leg is jointly managed by Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd and KCFP. The event is played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the following rules and regulations.
- Date & Time: Sunday 19th March 2023, 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. (Players to report by 9.45 am). Lunch Break (own) is from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm.
- Venue: Ang Mo Kio Community Centre, 795 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 (Street 22) Singapore 560076.
- System: 7 Rounds Swiss using Swiss Manager with 20 minutes for each player to complete the game.
- Eligibility: Open to ALL There shall be 3 Sections; (A) Open (B) Under-12 (C) Under-9. Age as of 1st January 2023. ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A FIDE ID NUMBER.
- Entry Fees: NON-REFUNDABLE
Section (A) – Based on Rapid Rating as on 1 February 2023. Limited to first 48 entries!
Unrated $75; Below 1500 $100; Below 2000 $125 and 2000=> $150.
Sections (B) & (C) – $60 for payment before 15th February 2023; $80 before 1st March 2023; $100 before 15th March 2023 (Final Deadline). Each Section limited to 96 players on First-Come-First-Serve basis. - Registration and Payment should be made by and to WhatsApp 96337946 providing FIDE ID, Section (A, B or C) and proof of payment to this mobile number. The Organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason thereof.
- Prizes:
Section (A) – Prize Fund $6,000.
1st $1,600; 2nd $1,200; 3rd $900 4th 650; 5th $400; 6th to 10th 250 each.
Sections (B) & (C): The Top 3 in each Section shall be awarded a Chess Clock or Chess Book & Trophy. The Section Champions will have custody of “TAN LIAN ANN” & “IGNATIUS LEONG” Challenge Cups for One Year.Trophies will also be awarded to the Top 20 among U12, U11, U10, U9, U8 & U7. Except for the overall Top 3 in Sections (A) & (B), each Player is entitled to only ONE Trophy. - In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be final, and no further correspondences shall be entertained.
