1. The Organiser is KCFAP. FIDE-rated and Laws of Chess apply.
2. Eligibility: For Players with a Standard Rating BELOW 1800. Organiser reserves the right to accept or
reject any entry without assigning any reason.
3. Venue: No. 8 Jalan Ikan Merah, Singapore 578039. (5 minutes’ walk from Thomson MRT). Parking is available at the HDB blocks nearby.

5. Each Round shall start as stated above. The Organiser reserves the right to re-pair those players
whose opponents are not present at the start.
6. Format & Time Control: Standard 60 minutes per player. In case of a guest player whose rating is >1800
but lower than 2400, then this game shall be played with 90 minutes per player.
7. Prize Fund of $1,000 for Top 5 – $300; $250; $200; $150; $100. Based on minimum 20 players playing
in each round.
8. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be FINAL, and no further
correspondences shall be entertained.
9. Entry Fee: A player may choose any Round to play. Entry Fee is $12 per Round for Players with a
Standard Rating. Unrated Players pay $16 per round. A late charge of $5 per round shall be levied for registration after the Start List has been published (normally on the Thursday before Round One.

Note: Due to numerous major international assignments from June to December, the KCFAP tournament series will end in May 2023.
