We are pleased to share that 17-year-old Siddharth Jagadeesh has tied for first place at the 50º Torneo Internacional de Ajedrez de La Roda 2024. Seeded 9th in this strong playing field, Siddharth won 6 games and drew 3, finishing with 7.5 out of 9 and winning the prize of 3,000 euros.

In the process, Siddharth also crossed the 2500 FIDE rating and is now one step away from becoming Singapore’s youngest chess grandmaster in our history.
