SCF Introductory Trainer Course

The Singapore Chess Federation is pleased to introduce the first of many trainer certification courses – introductory level. If you are an aspiring chess coach or a school teacher who is responsible for the school’s chess CCA, or someone who wishes to set up a new chess club in schools, this course will be ideal to prepare you with the essential tools to begin your teaching or training career in chess.This programme is led by SCF Training Director FIDE Senior Trainer, Grandmaster Thomas Luther aided by the SCF team of trainers. The team will be able to share its rich experience working with thousands of children in Singapore over a span of 15 years.A follow up SCF advanced trainer certification course will be announced and launched in the second half of the year. Participants who successfully passed these courses will enjoy the following:
- SCF Certification
- An SCF trainers license effective for 2 years. This license shall be recognised by the MOE as a requirement for chess coaching jobs in schools
- Listing on the SCF website as an SCF endorsed trainer or teacher
Participants of this introductory course will enjoy a 50% discount for 1 subsequent trainer courses.
